18-10 Fairy
3/4 wt. 3 piece/2 tip
A fly rod for tight lies and open glides. The taper is from Paul H Young’s 1920’s fairy rod. The rod casts easily across most Southeast Alaska streams, yet is light in the hand for the tight waters of Rocky Mountain headwater streams from the Arkansas to the Roaring Fork. As advertisements for the rod from the 1920’s assert, “a wonderfully lively rod, skillfully proportioned.” For trout to 16 inches, not for salmon!
The sterling moose on the nickel silver butt cap complements the two bear cubs up a tree on the sliding band. An American black walnut spacer completes the reel seat. The tigered brown cane and espresso agate stripping guide pair with the brown and blond silk wraps to create a balanced, beautiful rod. If fly fishing is your passion, fish beautifully. Fish Bamboo.
